Writhen is more than just a brand; it’s a dedication to the bizarre, the mind-bending, and the reality-stretching artwork that originates from a type of dream-state imagination. We are the culmination of a lifelong passion that, despite life's detours, refuses to fade.

A History Etched in Time

Our story begins in a classroom when our founder overheard a group of kids planning a band name.  The name "Writhen" was being suggested and it immediately resonated, its definition sparking an artistic curiosity that stuck. The band never materialized, but the name would live on.

Fast forward to 2011, driven by a desire to create unique, wild T-shirts unlike anything else available, the Writhen logo was born. The creativity and motivation were present, but with only grand dreams and no pathway, the brand lay dormant, waiting for its time to emerge.

The Return: 2018

Through everything, we found our way back to our true passion: creating. In 2018, while flipping through old art books, the original logo was rediscovered—a familiar mark with its own history. From that moment, the Writhen “W” became our official badge of honor, representing a brand that refused to quit.

The Birthing of a Store

Motivation and determination now drive our brand forward. To have such a profound love for creation and not pursue it seems crazy. We've decided to jump in and commit. It’s time to share our work with the world. Genuine art inspired by the impossible.
